    What is Cholesterol?

    Cholesterol is a fatty substance your body needs to build cells and produce hormones.

    Two Types of Cholesterol

    LDL (bad cholesterol): High levels can lead to plaque buildup in arteries.

    HDL (good cholesterol): Helps transport cholesterol to the liver for removal.

    Healthy Cholesterol Levels
